| Bio: | I am the root of all evil and the source of all that is wrong in the world today: an Anglo-Protestant conservative heterosexual white male. I'm not sure how that happened, since I try hard not to be anyone's enemy. Having said that, let me also say that I am not the least bit sorry if anything I write offends anyone. If you don't like it, you can quit reading. I am not out to offend anyone; I just call 'em like I see 'em. I've been called racist, sexist, stupid, ignorant, and a dozen other things only because I disagreed with someone else's opinions. Because of this, I hold freedom of speech, thought, and expression to the utmost value. It's ok if I hate what you say or how you think; thank God we both have that opportunity to disagree! I'm not the kind that writes deepest innermost feelings anywhere, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just not my style- I prefer to post 'IMHO' stuff and fun stuff like memes for my friends. As for personal stuff: I'm 33 years old and grew up in southeast Texas, along the coast. I have one younger sister. My parents were married for 39 years, but my father passed away last July. I am the first person in my entire family, including extended family, to ever get a college degree (my family tends to go to the military, not to college). I am a born-again Christian, and have been for less than three years. I am politically conservative, but I am not afraid to cross party lines. Although my degree is in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism, I worked my way through school as a draftsman (I also have a technical degree in drafting and CADD design), and thanks to 10 years of experience I am lead draftsman in a small civil engineering firm. I hope to get my Master's in Urban Planning and Land Development soon. | |||||
